my dog doesn’t go outside. She is 3 and only 4 pound chihuahua. We trained using weewee pads found at petco. They have this scent on them that make the dog go on them. Then they will know to go on paper without the scent. My dog will now only go inside. lol=]!
I’m not sure about the hooves thing, but a general rule is that a dog can “hold it” one hour for every month of age, not to exceed 8 or 9 hours. If you’re home, I’d take her out about every few hours and about half an hour after eating. Hope this helps!!
I would say about every 4 hours or so. They must have a schedule. There food has to be on time everyday also or else accidents will happen. I have 2 min pins and this is what worked for me. I let my dogs out at 7:00 a.m sharp and from then on every 4 hours. I feed my dogs twice a day
(8 am & 4 pm) on time EVERYDAY !
* When Im not home, they stay in there kennels, that way they dont get into anything ( my dogs used to always trash the house when we left them out until i started to do this. They are used to it now. And I cant remember when they last had an accident inside. They need to be on a schedule, It is the only way.

Feed your dog a good quality food, yes its more expensive but well worth it. Mine eat California Natural, Merrick is good also.Dont buy IAMS or SCIENCE Diet, those are the worse foods you can feed your dog. Look into the ingredient list and you will see its all by-products.
